We are especially interested in the agency of artists and in artist-led cultures across the space of contemporary art, cinema, literature, and photographic culture. The work was made possible by the help of The Gothenburg Museum of Natural History, The Gothenburg University/Valand art Academy, and support by Cultural Council of Gothenborg, The Nordic Cultural Council, The County Council for West Sweden, and The Swedish Cultural Council Akademin Valand bildades den 1 juli 2012, då tidigare Filmhögskolan, Högskolan för fotografi, Konsthögskolan Valand och Litterär gestaltning sammanslogs. Den 1 januari 2020 gick Akademin Valand och HDK – Högskolan för design och konsthantverk samman och bildade HDK-Valand, en ny institution för design och konst.

1986—91 Master of Fine Arts, Valand Academy of Fine Arts Göteborg University 2013 School of Film Directing, Gothenburg University in collaboration with Teddy Award - Queer Film Award at the International Film Festival Berlin. Sweden in 1989, he studied film directing at the Valand Academy in the same city. Valand Academy is a school for film, photography, literary composition and fine art at the University of Gothenburg in Gothenburg, Sweden.It was formed in 2012 Utbildningen ges vid HDK-Valand som även bedriver utbildning och forskning inom design, fotografi, fri konst, konsthantverk och litterär gestaltning. Vi arbetar i en Konsthögskolan Valand, Academy of fine art, Gothenburg (exchange student), Themathic studies in film and video, Konsthögskolan Valand, 2006- 2007. In the end of spring 2019, seven students will graduate, aspiring to create innovative ways of storytelling and content in film and imagery.
